FYRA is hosting a Come Try Ringette event on Saturday, Sept 25 from 1:15-3:45 PM at the LBR.

Registration for the 2010-2011 season is being held at Willie O'Ree Place on the dates specified below:

Friday, September 10 4:00pm to 7:00pm

Saturday, September 11 9:00am to 2:00pm

We will be set up in the information booth beside the Sports Room, the same as last year. 

Registration fees will be:  $240 for a returning or first time player..

There will be a discounted rate for siblings of registered players at $175 per sibling.  

Fall Ice
Registration will be happening at the same time as registration for the regular season for fall ice.   Fall ice will be the same as last year.  There will be an hour of gym Ringette and one hour of ice time per week for the low price of $40 per player.  More details to follow...

FYRA will be holding a Level 1 Referees Clinic for new Refs on Sunday, October 3rd from 9am - 5pm at Willie O'Ree Place.  This is the only local clinic that will run this season.

It is imperative we train at least 4 new ADULT referees for the upcoming season.  We also have openings for youth (Age 14/second year Tween or older) interested in learning to referee. 

This is a great opportunity for you to take an active role in your players sport.  Not to worry, with the clinic and ongoing mentoring from senior officials you will be well equipped for this job, and you get paid!  Being on the ice is both a fun and rewarding experience. Once trained, you will start at the younger age groups and will be paired with an experienced referee.

Communication Coordinator. 

This is a non-voting position on FYRA's executive.  The person that takes this position is asked to attend the executive meetings and send out emails to the various groupsor the association as a whole as requested.  If anyone is interested in holding this position, please send me an email.  Or if anyone has any questions with regards to the position, please feel free to ask.  Deadline for names will be Tuesday, Sept. 7.

FYRA will be offering a new program this year for new skaters.  It will consist of 2 - 10 week sessions.  There will be one session this fall and one starting in January.  This is for children ages 4 and up.  There will be limited enrollment.  So if you know of anyone who would be interested, please pass the word along...  More details will follow.
